A perfect partnership: True Origin and Transform Trade

At True Origin we are very proud of our partnership with Transform Trade to bring back a refreshed version of the popular Traidcraft Tea.

As importer of this Fairtrade Certified beverage we donate at least 5% of the selling price to Transform Trade, who work alongside tea growers in South Asia and East Africa, supporting them to fight for fair wages, decent working conditions and a transparent supply chain.

Transfer Trade say that “bringing back Traidcraft Tea not only brings the benefits of Fair Trade to the producers who grow the tea but also provides an income to Transform Trade. This income, received from every pack of tea purchased, has allowed us to make future plans to work with even more inspirational business who are changing everything for their communities and showing the world a better way of doing business is possible.”

This blend boasts a harmonious balance of robust flavour and invigorating aroma, designed to awaken your senses with every sip. It tea was grown in the rich soil and high altitudes of the Great Rift Valley, Kenya - the perfect conditions to grow a refreshing and delicious tea.

It’s 100% supplied by smallholder co-operative. Unlike much tea grown on tea estates, it is hand picked to the highest quality and traceable.

Being 100% Fairtrade, it provides a fair income for the farmers who grew it and a Fairtrade Premium for community projects that benefit farmers, tea workers and their families including sustainable energy initiatives which support the planet.

This tea generates income for Transform Trade. They work with producers and workers to create a just and sustainable trading system in which everybody benefits. https://traidcraft.org/tea.
