KASFA helping and Supporting Woman Farmers

Nicola Taylor • February 20, 2019

Yesterday saw some of the women farmers of KASFA leave their fields and gather in town for a meeting.

The aim of this meeting was to discuss the welfare of themselves and their families and also to talk about how they can find small sums of capital to enable them to start small businesses such as baking cakes to generate extra income in whatever spare time they may have.

Many of these women are widowed and are therefore the main breadwinners and sole providers for their immediate, and often extended, families.

KASFA are working closely with these women farmers to empower them and give them the skills and knowledge necessary for them to create a brighter future for their families.

We will keep you updated on the work that KASFA are doing to help and support woman farmers.
